I have been leading Plan International (India Chapter) as the Executive Director/CEO since 2019 after serving Plan India in the role of the Director, Program Implementation for 12 years. As one of the members of the Expert group on “Implementation of the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” for the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare; and of the Technical Working Group – Elimination of Vertical Transmission of HIV & Syphilis (TWG-EVTHS) under the NACP-V; and member of the Technical Resource Group – HIV Counselling and Testing Services (TRG-HCTS) of the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, I have been actively engaged in public health. I am honored and grateful that the Honorable President of India, Shri Ramnath Kovind felicitated me at the Rashtrapati Bhawan, recognizing my service to the poor during the pandemic. Honorable Smt. Anandi Ben Patel, Governor of UP and Honorable Shri Acharya Devvrat, Governor of Gujarat too have recognised my work for the welfare of poor and vulnerable families during the COVID-19. I am thankful to FICCI leadership for inviting me as expert at G20 EMPOWER Conference at Trivandrum. Also, I participated as expert at CIVIL20 India Summit Conference, Jaipur on “SEWA: Sense of Service, Volunteerism and Philanthropy”. I am humbled to receive the National Transgender Award 2023: Lifetime Achievement Award for promoting health and holistic development of transgender community. Dr (Brigadier) Rakesh Gupta, Director, GIMS, Greater NOIDA awarded me for public health services. I have more than 25 years of experience in social development space with nearly 20 years in senior management roles. In my leadership Plan India has had the honor of being development partner of NITI Aayog for "The Aspirational Districts Program" supporting health and nutrition outcomes in 7 districts across India. His expertise is in child centered community development, education, skills promotion and health for all. I am a Sociologist by training, having completed my Masters' from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. I have Certificate in Risk Management from the Institute of Risk Management, Gallagher Bassett, UK; Certificate in Project Management in Global Health, University of Washington. Also, I am a Certified Corporate Director by the Institute of Directors, New Delhi. I am associated with the Sphere India Network, National Institute of Disaster Management, National and State Disaster Management Authority for humanitarian response.
